The former UA player and assistant coach credited legendary coach Paul W. "Bear" Bryant first and foremost when asked about his place in the hall Friday.
"I've got a pile of them. But the thing I appreciate more than anything is what I learned under Coach Bryant to begin with," Oliver said. "As a player, as a coach, the things he taught me about the recruiting part of it, abilities, how to play smart, and teach players to play smart. Those are things that go unnoticed a lot of times."
